Why a lift? It's the new ensuite
Thirty years ago it would have been inconceivable to
think that the lift would become a standard part of home design. But
now, with high-density living almost becoming the norm, and multi-level
homes mushrooming on narrower blocks, the age of the lift has truly
come.
The real estate industry is requesting that the lift be part of the
home design, and the architects are responding. What the ensuite was
to the new home of the 70s, the lift is to the design of the 21st century.
It can be best seen in the classic contemporary design
of the multi-level home these days, with the car-space at the bottom
level for convenience and the kitchen/dining zone at the top, to gain
maximum advantage of the view.
Is someone going to drag the shopping up two, three flights of stairs
each time? We don't think so
And what about the laundry, sports gear, furniture, someone's passing
infatuation with learning to play the cello ..?
On a more pragmatic basis, the lift is also becoming
an important part of our social scenario. Without putting too fine a
point on it, the Baby Boomer wave is about to crash on the shores of
seniority - the first of them turned 60 in 2005. The implications for
providing easy access for ageing bodies in clubs, medical centres and
accommodation centres are obvious.
Luxury - 'Lifestyle' Range
The lift? It's now part of our life
We're confident when we say that the Southern Lifts Luxury
range is the most cost-effective, quality residential lift on the market.
That's because we use the same equipment as a fully commercial lift
and a larger motor than conventional residential lifts. This ensures
a smooth, fast start and a quality ride, as well as lengthening the
motor's lifespan.
Our specially-designed structural steel tower saves you thousands of
dollars in shaft construction, while local manufacturing provides you
with individual choice of door and interior finishes, hinges and jambs,
allowing you to perfectly match your décor. The fact that our
lifts meet or exceed all requisite Building and Disability Codes as
well as Australian Standards AS 1735 gives added confidence in the quality
of the product.
Independence - 'Aussie Lift' Range
Our Independence range does what it says - gives the
freedom to move about the house to those who otherwise might find, for
a variety of reasons, the place is simply getting beyond them. Occupying
a small space, reliable, safe and very cost-effective, the Independence
lifts helps the couple or individual extend the time they can stay in
their home. And isn't that what it's all about?
The Australian design is simple and commonsense, the mechanics are robust
and long-lasting, and the finish can be matched with your décor.
Simple and quick to install, the very flexible Independence lift can
be retro fitted to any home in days! It has a manufacturing time of
as little as six weeks.
